The Allegheny Lacrosse Officials Association (ALOA) is led by a dedicated team of experienced officials who work to uphold the highest standards of officiating, training, and game management. The board oversees all aspects of the association, ensuring that ALOA continues to serve the lacrosse community with professionalism and integrity.


Board Roles & Responsibilities

President

The President provides leadership and direction for ALOA, overseeing all operations and ensuring the association aligns with its mission. They represent ALOA in regional and national discussions, fostering relationships within the lacrosse community.

Vice President

The Vice President supports the President in all duties and takes on additional responsibilities as needed. They help coordinate initiatives, training programs, and association development efforts.

Assigner

The Assigner manages game scheduling and officiating assignments, ensuring that officials are placed at appropriate levels of competition. They work closely with schools, leagues, and other organizations to maintain fair and consistent game coverage.

Rules Interpreter

The Rules Interpreter ensures that all officials are educated on the latest rule changes and clarifications. They provide guidance on rule enforcement and serve as a resource for officials, coaches, and teams regarding game regulations.

Secretary

The Secretary maintains official records, meeting minutes, and communications for the board. They ensure timely updates are shared with ALOA members regarding meetings, training sessions, and key announcements.

Treasurer

The Treasurer oversees the financial health of ALOA, managing dues, payments, and budgeting. They ensure that all financial transactions are transparent and aligned with the association’s goals.

Youth Liaison

The Youth Liaison serves as a bridge between ALOA and youth lacrosse programs, ensuring that younger officials receive proper training and mentorship. They help foster the growth of youth officiating and work to enhance the overall officiating experience at the youth level.

Members at Large

Members at Large provide additional support to the board and contribute to various initiatives, from recruitment and mentorship programs to training and event planning. They bring valuable insights and help drive the association’s mission forward.
